What is idle auto-shutdown?

If no players are connected for 20 minutes, your server stops automatically.

Idle shutdown protects your credits when someone forgets to press Stop after playing.

Why it exists

Friend groups often leave a server running after a session ends. Without auto-shutdown, credits would keep draining on an empty server overnight or all week.

What happens

  1. Last player disconnects (or nobody joins within 20 minutes of start).
  2. After 20 minutes with zero players, the server stops.
  3. Your world is saved automatically.
  4. Billing stops.

Starting again

Go to the dashboard and click Start. Your world is restored and the same address works as before.

Can I disable it?

Idle auto-shutdown is enabled by default to protect your credits. If you need a server to stay up with no players (e.g. always-on mob farm), message us in chat — we can discuss options.
