Minecraft: mods and plugins

Warp.cool Minecraft servers support plugins and mods depending on which server type you chose at creation.

Plugins need Paper. Modpacks need Forge. You cannot mix plugin + Forge modpack on one server.

Plugins (Paper)

Use Paper if you want plugins. Popular options available during setup:

Plugin

What it does

EssentialsX

/home, /spawn, /tpa, economy, kits

LuckPerms

Permissions and ranks

WorldEdit

In-game map editing

WorldGuard

Region protection

CoreProtect

Block logging and rollback

ViaVersion

GeyserMC + Floodgate

Bedrock/mobile players

DiscordSRV

Link chat to Discord

Add plugins when creating the server or update them in Server → Config.

Bedrock players? See Can Bedrock players join my Minecraft server?

Mods (Fabric / Forge)

Loader

Best for

Fabric

Lightweight mods, QoL, performance mods

Forge

Modpacks and heavy mod setups

Modpacks usually need Forge and a larger plan due to RAM/CPU usage.

Vanilla

No plugins or mods. Pure Minecraft only.

Tips

Match mod/plugin versions to your Minecraft version

Start with fewer mods/plugins — add more if performance is fine

Heavy modpacks on a Small plan will lag — size up if needed
