Can Bedrock players join my Minecraft server?

By default, Warp.cool runs Minecraft Java Edition servers. Bedrock players (mobile, console, Windows 10/11 Bedrock) cannot join directly.

You need Paper + GeyserMC to let Bedrock players in.

Solution: GeyserMC (+ Floodgate)

Install GeyserMC on a Paper server to bridge Bedrock clients to your Java server.

Plugin

Purpose

GeyserMC

Lets Bedrock players connect to a Java server

Floodgate

Lets Bedrock players join without a Java/Mojang account

Both can be selected when creating a Paper server or added in Server → Config.

Setup steps

  1. Create (or reconfigure) a Paper server.
  2. Enable GeyserMC plugin.
  3. Optionally enable Floodgate if your Bedrock friends don't own Java Edition.
  4. Click Start and wait for running status.
  5. Bedrock players connect using the same yourserver.warp.cool address — Geyser handles the translation.

Server type must be Paper — see Minecraft: Paper vs Vanilla vs Fabric vs Forge

Limitations

  • Some Java mods/plugins may not work perfectly for Bedrock players
  • Bedrock and Java players see mostly the same world, but minor compatibility gaps exist
  • More players across both editions may need a larger plan

Java players

PC/Mac/Linux players with Java Edition connect normally — no Geyser needed on their side.
