Articles on: Getting started

Is my world saved when I stop?

Yes. Your game data is automatically backed up every time your server stops.

No manual save commands needed — we handle it every time you stop.

What gets saved

  • Minecraft — world, player data, inventory, builds, everything in your world folder
  • Factorio — factory save, map progress, player state

When backups happen

  • You click Stop in the dashboard
  • Idle auto-shutdown kicks in (no players for 20 minutes)
  • The server is stopped due to out of credits (after the grace period)

When you start again

We restore your world from the latest backup. You pick up exactly where you left off.

Your server address never changes — yourserver-a8f3.warp.cool works the same after every restart.

What is not saved

  • In-memory state from a crash mid-session (rare) — stop cleanly when you can
  • Config changes you made but did not save on the config page before stopping

Deleting a server

Deleting a server permanently removes the world and config. This cannot be undone. Your credit balance is not affected.
