Factorio: how to join a multiplayer server

For the server owner


  1. Create a Factorio server in the Warp dashboard.
  2. Configure settings (password, max players, autosave, etc.).
  3. Click Start and wait until status is running.
  4. Share your yourserver-a8f3.warp.cool address with friends.


Wait for running status before sharing the address — first start can take several minutes.




For players joining


  1. Make sure the server owner has started the server (status: running).
  2. Open Factorio.
  3. Go to Multiplayer → Connect to server.
  4. Enter the full address: yourserver-a8f3.warp.cool
  5. Enter the password if the owner set one in server config.
  6. Connect.




Version matching


All players should run a compatible Factorio version with the server. The server runs the latest stable headless release by default.


If someone cannot connect, ask them to update Factorio first.




Saves between sessions
